During my Christmas stay, I was impressed by the friendly and helpful staff. They provided excellent service, including storing my luggage and giving a detailed introduction to the hostel. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, with spacious showers that exceeded my expectations. the hostel's common area was a great place to relax, especially during the takoyaki nights. The location was also convenient, with easy access to public transportation and several convenient stores nearby.
There were a few drawbacks to my stay. the noise from the dorms could sometimes be bothersome, especially if you're on the top bunk.

I wanted to visit Hakata Port Tower very much, and that's why I chose Gate Hostel. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the hostel providing a terrace, a coffee shop/cafe, and laundry facilities. What I liked the most was enjoying a drink at the bar/lounge.
Mindful of head crashing.

Personally, I wasn't a fan of the shared bathrooms. But I understand that some people may still find them convenient.

I recently stayed at The Gate for one night and was pleasantly surprised by how nice everything was. The facilities were clean and modern, with comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The AC in the bedroom was a nice touch and it was very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I loved the idea of the bracelet to connect with other guests. The subway station is just a short walk away and there are two Family Marts nearby. Highly recommended!
I do recommend this hotel.

We were delighted with the convenient location of Gate, just a 10-minute walk from the underground station. It made our arrival and departure hassle-free. The cleanliness of the bedrooms and bathrooms was impressive, and the quilt and mattress provided utmost comfort. having bicycles available for rent was a great perk for exploring the area. Although there were a few minor inconveniences like a lack of hooks or shelves in the bed cubicles and limited ventilation in the girls' dorm, these were easily outweighed by the positive aspects of our stay. I highly recommend Gate for a pleasant and enjoyable experience in Fukuoka.

Musty smell in one room, no window.
